Undergraduate Academic Affairs Advising

Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) Advising is under the office of the Dean and Vice Provost of the Academic Affairs division. There is an Associate Dean of UAA that oversees the advising office. The Director of UAA advising reports to the Associate Dean, who then reports to the Dean and Vice Provost. The 13 advisers all have equal authority. There is not a lead or senior adviser. Instead they all have equal roles and share responsibilities. Some of the advisers do have an area of focus. For example, two of the advisers are pre-med, one of them handles veterans paperwork, while some work more with international students and National Student Exchange Program.

Educational Opportunity Program Advising

The Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, which houses the Equal Opportunity Program (EOP) advising is located under President and Provost. Unlike UAA Advising and the Vick Center at UT, OMAD opperates as its own division. The Director of EOP reports to the Vice President of OMAD, who then reports to the Provost. All advisers in EOP report to the Director of UEP.
